Weekend Round Up

This weekend started off the last 9 days of school, for me, well really 8 because I took Friday off to have some Lilly time.

Friday we went and met Ma Ma D for lunch it was so hot Lilly had to cool down with a Banana Pudding Milk Shake!

Did I mention we found out that Lilly loves some salsa
Then Lilly and daddy had a sprinkler fight after he mowed the grass

Then on Saturday she got to play with Daddy at the McDonalds Playground while I got to enjoy coffee. She also got to pick out a DVD for her new DVD Player. This will come in so handy for the beach trips we will be taking this summer.

Sunday was a Fun Day for us. We went out to Pikes and watched the train go by. Lilly is not a big fan of the noise!

We also played hard with Katie and Sam at the pool

She also got to show off her new swimsuit Daddy got her!!

Such a Ham!

We ended this awesome weekend with a trip to Pottery Barn outlet and then a ride on the lake.

Lilly loves to drive the boat!!!

I can’t wait to spend the summer with this little fish!

New Room

So Lilly crawled out of her bed the other night.(she stepped up on the bumber and hiked over)
After being scared to death, I was really sad because soon it will be time for a toddler bed. Not to mention we are in the process of trying to buy a new home. Everything here will be gone and we will only have memories of our first home together with her. So I thought I would post some photos of her room in hopes to give me ideas for her new one and to remember her old one.

One thing I am looking for is a Toy box for her new room and this is what I have found!!
I love this site!

I love this idea plant wire baskets for toys Lillys will be white to give a vintage look!!

I ll keep adding ideas as I come across things!

Weekend round up

Such a great weekend !!
We had our cousins come in town and most of the family went out to Carowinds Sunday (thanks to cms)

We started the weekend off going to one of our favs flyin biscuit. Lilly wore her new romper that Nan Na got her.

She cuddled with Kyle and went shopping with Danielle and me.

Pa pa Rock taught her some golf and after, we had a family dinner.

Lilly has been telling us that she lives in charlotte and "book" is her new favorite word.

She loves to run and knows how to "ready set go!"

She loves lipstick and we are working on the correct way to apply it ;)

Sunday was Carowinds not much for her age but dip and dots and merry go rounds will do.

Uncle Bubbies even won her a elephant.

So beat from the weekend but had a marvelous time

Weekend round up "i love mommy"

This was probably one of the best weekends!

Birthdays don't matter anymore when you become a mother, Mothers Day is your birthday. There's just something about it that makes you so proud, thankful and at peace.

We started off our weekend with cards for the grands and greats
We got up early Saturday morning and went for a walk to the playground, haven't been able to do this as a family in a while, so happy!
We had lady's lunch at Maggianos and got to have dessert at Godiva (never let a 19 month hold a chocolate shake while wearing a white linen dress) (or don't buy white linen for a 19 month)

Lilly was true her tom boy ways with monkey bars and 4 wheelers.

I couldn't of ask for a better weekend with my family.

So Blessed! And Thankful!

The Season for Swim

So this summer we have a couple of beach trips coming up, not to mention or weekly visits to the pool, and some ridiculously cute 2 piece swim suits come in the store the other day (I work at Janie and Jack part-time mainly for the discount ;))

However, I am not really quite sure how I feel about two pieces for Lilly right now. I want her to be brought up with modesty about her body, but at the same time I fine nothing sweeter than a pop belly baby with a two piece on. I have talked about it with some friends and have come up with some valued points.

*There very helpful when potty training
*When at the pool or on the beach they can allow for a quick and painless change.
*There very cute!

Some draw backs:
*Some are a little too grown
* I gots to keep up with two pieces instead of one, hmmmmm
*My husband might have a hard time with this one
*More sun block to put on! ugh

Over all conclusion I think the modesty part I will worry about when she gets into grade school.
For now I think I will go with a tankkini or a more coverage top. Last year she had a little one that I bought on clearance and I spent more time fixing it to cover her than we did swimming. So for now I will just worry about what is comfortable for her and easy for me and Daniel.

What do y'all think ??

Here are couple of my choices
